Kaftan queen Camilla Franks cried as she was booted off The Celebrity Apprentice on Tuesday’s show.

And on Wednesday, the 45-year-old designer appeared live on the Today show and spoke about her time on the program.

Camilla, who was accompanied by her toddler daughter Luna on the breakfast program, said she felt like a ‘failure’ after not raising enough money on Celebrity Apprentice for her charity, the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

‘I watched the show again last night… it was quite emotional to watch,’ Camilla said.

‘I felt like I failed you guys… I felt like I failed [her charity],’ she said, as she sat next to the CEO of the NBCF, Sarah Hosking.

‘But looking back, I don’t think I could have done more, I did everything,’ Camilla said.

‘On the last episode, all the edits, they cut out Olivia Newton-John doing a call in from LA, me going onto set with Luna after four hours of sleep…’

She added: ‘I was frustrated but very honoured that Celebrity Apprentice gave me an incredible platform to be able to celebrate our cause.’

Camilla then revealed that she raised $20,000 via a challenge on Celebrity Apprentice, and as a surprise to Sarah, raised $15,000 personally by auctioning off some of her clothes and matched that by putting in $15,000 of her own money.

She told Sarah she was giving the NBCF a total of $50,000.

The cause holds a special place in Camilla’s heart, as she was diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer in 2018.

‘When your mortality is questioned, you almost lost your life to breast cancer, I made sure, because I was one of the lucky ones to survive, I made sure to honour every single woman we’ve lost along the way, the women still fighting and all the ones about to embark on this hideous journey,’ she said.

‘Without the research, I wouldn’t be sitting here today.’

With only a $1,000 budget to host a kids’ sleepover and Camilla spending $800 on just teepees, Team Momentum’s downfall was running out of money for breakfast.

Prior to her firing and breaking down in tears, Shaynna hit back at the fashion designer for describing her as a ‘runner’ instead of the team’s project manager.

Despite her attempts to save herself, Camilla was fired with Lord Alan Sugar saying that while she is ‘full of great ideas’, she lacks an ‘attention to detail’.

Walking out of the boardroom and heading to a waiting car, a devastated Camilla broke down in tears.
