‘You fell for it!’ Brendan Fevola dupes Tommy Little into revealing he’s joined the cast of Celebrity MasterChef – as the comedian HANGS UP on him

Radio host Brendan Fevola has tricked comedian Tommy Little into admitting he’s joined the cast of the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef.

The Fox 101.9 breakfast host, 40, elicited the surprise confession from the funnyman, 36, during his Fifi, Fev and Nick show on Thursday morning.

Realising he’d been duped, the interview ended with Tommy host pretending he was having technical issues with his phone before abruptly hanging up.

The ruse began when the former AFL star told The Project host he was going to be joining the cast of Celebrity MasterChef.

‘I announced it today,’ lied Brendan. ‘We announced that this morning, at seven o’clock.’

‘The only reason I did it is because I saw your name on there [as a contestant]. So we’ll be going head to head, brother.’

A cautious Tommy replied: ‘I’ve been told I’m not allowed to talk about it yet. Did you really announce it this morning?’

    ‘Yeah, at seven,’ said Brendan.

Apparently convinced, the stand-up comic took the bait, boasting: ‘Obviously I’m going to win if I’m up against you. That’s fine!’

Brendan’s co-host Fifi Box finally piped up, saying, ‘Can I please jump in here? Please, please, please.’

‘Tommy, he’s joking, he’s not on it! He didn’t make an announcement.  Fev is not on Celebrity MasterChef,’ the 44-year-old added.

A shocked Tommy exclaimed: ‘Oh my god. Are we live?’

‘We’re live! And he trapped you, and you fell for it!’ replied Fifi.

It was then that Tommy attempted to extricate himself from the conversation, telling the hosts: ‘Guys…there’s static in the lift. Oh no, I’ve gotta go.’

He then hung up on them as Fifi, Fev and co-anchor Nick Cody all laughed.

‘Fev, what did you just do?’ scolded Fifi. ‘He’s probably just breached a contract because of you.’
