Chip Gaines shaved his head bald for a good cause and raised hundreds of thousands for charity.
The 46-year-old mogul revealed his newly shorn style on Friday and announced he had so far raised $322K for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
His ginger locks themselves are also being donated to the nonprofit, Children With Hair Loss, which makes human hair wigs for children who have lost their own due to medical reasons.

Chip had previously announced that he was growing out his red hair for the purpose of donating it to charity and the time finally came to pay the piper.
The Magnolia co-owner shared his journey in a social media video that captured the process of going from long locks to bald head.
He penned in the caption: ‘And just like that.. it’s gone! All worth it if it means more kids at @stjude get taken care of. So we’re going to keep this thing going till midnight.. Tap this video to donate. Hey, @cwhl_org—my hair is on its way to you! #ChipInForStJude’
The television star’s hair was separated into smaller sections with rubber bands before being buzzed off with clippers.

‘Chip, you’ve got great hair,’ wife Joanna Gaines tells him before the cut began.
‘You always said it looks disgusting,’ he quipped back. To which Jo Jo informed him that he never has it that clean.
The interior design mogul made the first cut and snipped off one of the small pony tails for her husband.
Then the rest of the pony tails were cut off by hand and saved to be sent to Children With Hair Loss while a hairstylist cleaned up the unevenness with electric clippers and then a straight razor.

The Magnolia Network founder was bald as a cue ball and exclaimed in excitement when he saw the final product.
So far Gaines has raised over $322K and counting. Chip’s donation page for St. Jude will be accepting funds through midnight on Friday.
‘Jo and I have had the honor of visiting a few times over the years, and every time, we leave completely changed,’ Chip wrote on his page. ‘These kids have inspired us time and again with their uncanny strength, radiance, and courage.

Chip and Joanna Gaines found success with their HGTV home improvement show, Fixer Upper, and now they are overseeing their own empire of businesses under their Magnolia umbrella.
The couple have been married since 2003 and now share five children – Drake, 16, Ella, 14, Duke, 12, Emmie, 11, and Crew, two.

Fixer Upper began on HGTV in 2014 and managed to run for five seasons and raised the profile of ‘farmhouse chic’ before ending in 2018.
Now the couple are working on their own Magnolia Network which is slated to launch January 2022.
Meanwhile the family of seven has left their hometown of Waco, Texas for the summer for the sunny shores of Southern California.
