Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky ‘skip the after-party’ of the star studded Gold Dinner in Sydney – but make a very generous donation

Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky skipped put on making an appearance on the red carpet of the Gold Dinner at Sydney Airport on Thursday.

And the Hollywood couple seemingly missed out on joining in on the fun at the after-part of the charity event, according to The Daily Telegraph on Saturday.

The actors were joined at the event with Chris’ younger brother Liam and his girlfriend Gabriella Brooks, and their friend Lucciana Barroso – the wife of actor Matt Damon.

Event committee member Emma Cooper told the publication that the group left after fundraising formalities were complete.

‘There was no obligation for them to stay for the after-party,’ she said, adding that she led the group out of the venue after the auction.

Chris reportedly donated two tickets for the Sydney premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, scheduled to be released in 2022.

The tickets went under the hammer for $60,000, which helped raise a record setting $4.4 million for the Sydney Children’s Hospital foundation.

Unlike the glittering array of stars that made an appearance at the exclusive soiree, Chris and his group opted to skip the red carpet and slip into the fundraiser unannounced.

MGI Entertainment shared an image of the Byron Bay native to their Instagram account during the invitation-only bash, where Chris is seen smiling alongside attendee Nic Antonio.
