Chrissie Swan gave up alcohol and turned to meditation and walking during Melbourne’s gruelling 112-day lockdown last year.

And the Nova radio host showed off the results of her lifestyle overhaul in a glam new photo shared to Instagram on Tuesday, as she teased her appearance on Channel 10’s The Project later that night.

The 48-year-old looked fit and fabulous in a blue and white striped playsuit with tie detail that accentuated her tiny waist and overall slim physique.

‘I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions but I’ve become serious about carving out some “me time” this year,’ Chrissie wrote on Instagram in July.

After saying she had ‘read everything there is to read about self-care,’ she took action during the city’s 112-day lockdown.

‘I’ve never done anything about it, until now. Learning how to meditate kicked it off for me and I realised after the first 10 min block that it was the first time in ages I’d stopped and slowed down with my own well-being top of mind.’

Chrissie, who recently appeared on Celebrity MasterChef Australia, also revealed she ‘doesn’t put pressure on’ herself, but walks ‘somewhere’ most days.

‘Sometimes for 20 minutes, sometimes for an hour. Sometimes three little walks, sometimes none!’ she said.

When a fan asked if she ever lacks motivation, she added: ‘The struggle is real. I get it and I have NEVER been a walker.

‘I always wear activewear or at least runners – like just put them on straightaway because that’s one less excuse. It’s when I can’t be f**ked I just say it’s 10 minutes. Always ends up longer. First step is the hardest.’

In March, Chrissie said she was feeling better than ever following a booze-free night of karaoke with a girlfriend.

Benefits: In April, the mother of three added that her sleep had also improved since giving up alcohol.'I stopped drinking booze of any kind (alcohol is diabolical for sleep and anxiety too),' she explained, as she detailed a sleep study she was taking part in. Pictured in May 2011

‘Booze-free activity degree of difficulty: 10 = karaoke. UNLOCKED! I can’t quite believe it but it IS POSSIBLE. Fresh as a daisy this morning and I still have my voice!’ she captioned a photo.
