    McDonald and Dodds series 3 FIRST LOOK: Outnumbered’s Claire Skinner wears a police uniform while filming as Chief Superintendent Ormond for series 3 of the drama in Bath


    Claire Skinner wore a police uniform as she filmed scenes for the upcoming series of McDonald and Dodds in Bath on Friday. 

    This was the Outnumbered actress’ first time on set as she is starring as newcomer Chief Superintendent Ormond in the crime series. 

    Claire, 56, kept warm on set by wearing a dark green padded jacket which came down to her mid calf.

    Her blonde hair was scraped back into a tight bun as she got into character for the third series of the show. 

    She walked down the West Country street chatting away on her phone.  

    Also on set were Jason Watkins and Tala Gouveia – who both play the titular characters.

    Jason, who plays DS Dodds, wore a beige parka jacket and a grey blazer which he teamed with a purple shirt and tie.

    Tala meanwhile, wore a black coat and a navy blue scarf to be DCI Lauren McDonald as they made their way down to the set.

    The show follows Jason in the role of Dodds who is a shy Detective Sergeant.

    Dodds has been partnered with an outgoing Detective Chief Inspector (Gouveia).  

    They aim to solve crimes in the city – and the previous seasons have starred Martin Kemp and Robert Lindsay.

    The show first aired back in 2020, and series two was shown earlier this year.

    It is not yet known what exact date the new season will air – but it is predicted to be at some point in 2022.
