    One person commented: “Black Harpic.”

Another person agreed, saying: “Harpic black, best bleach for toilets yet.”

Harpic Power Plus, which comes in a black bottle, is available at Tesco for only £1.

A customer raved about the product on the supermarket’s website, saying: “Good, thick, powerful, effective toilet cleaner.”

Other customers praised a similar product, Harpic Power Plus Toilet Cleaner Tablets, which costs £2.

One person wrote: “I have found nothing else in the past 30 years which cleans your bog better than these, especially if it is heavily stained.”

Another person said: “Excellent product for badly stained toilet. No other cleaner has removed the lime scale but this did. Easy to use. Blocks are individually wrapped and neater than large bottles of cleaners that have not worked.”

This product also removes limescale from the toilet bowl. A customer said: “The best product to remove limescale inside the toilet.”

Mrs Hinch fans also recommended the Harpic tablets. One said: “Black Harpic tablets. Leave them in overnight and empty water to scrub next morning. May take a few days but will go.”

Interestingly, another cleaning enthusiast shared a tip using a common household product.

They said: “Pour a can of full fat coke down.”

Baking soda can also be used to clean toilets, but this product is best for removing toilet blockages.

If your toilet needs unclogging, simply pour baking soda into the toilet, leave to rest for 30 minutes or more, and flush.
