Derek Hough tests positive for breakthrough case of COVID-19 ahead of the Dancing With the Stars finals: ‘I feel strong’
Dancing With the Stars judge Derek Hough revealed that he’s tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19, in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
The 36-year-old professional dancer told fans that he’s fully vaccinated, is feeling ‘okay’ and is currently quarantining while under the advice of doctors.
His diagnosis comes just a week before the finals for this season of Dancing With the Stars were set to get underway.

‘Even though I’ve been fully vaccinated, I’ve just been diagnosed with a breakthrough case of COVID,’ the blond dancer told fans in a video.
‘I just found out and I feel OK. I feel strong. I’m currently taking advice from medical professionals to get better as fast as I can. I’m currently in quarantine.’
He added: ‘I’ll make sure to keep you guys all updated with what’s going on, but I just want to send my love out there to all. Stay safe.’
