‘It was incredibly challenging to play. It’s horrifying. Because it’s a thriller, every scene is propelling the story forward in such a visceral way. So anytime I was in the film it was such high stakes.

‘To constantly maintain that energy for a character is a real challenge, especially considering what my character goes through.’

The new movie trailer was released in March, and follows a ragtag group of tourists who discover an idyllic and secret beach – but all is not what is seems in paradise.

Old is set to premiere on July 22 2021.
