Cricketer Ellyse Perry and rugby player Matt Toomua sell their Melbourne bungalow for $2.7million – one year after their shock split
They’re the former sporting golden couple who announced their separation last July.
And cricket legend Ellyse Perry and rugby union player Matt Toomua have now sold their former marital home in Melbourne for $2.7million.
Ellyse, 30, and Matt, 31, had purchased the four-bedroom, three-bathroom bungalow for $1,737,000 in 2014 and offloaded it last month, reports Realestate.com.au.

The pair had moved to Melbourne in 2019 after Matt signed with the Rebels.
The home itself is a modernised 1920s property, which has been updated with an outdoor extension including an entertainment deck with a barbeque and hot tub.
The athletic power couple confirmed they had separated in a statement in July 2020, after almost five years of marriage.

‘It’s with the greatest of respect for one another that we decided to separate earlier this year,’ they said in a joint statement.
‘We felt this was the right course of action and is in the best interests of each other and our current lives. This is something that has evolved and is a mutual decision.
‘Throughout our relationship we have remained private and we ask that our space and privacy continue to be respected during this difficult time for both of us.’
Rumours of a break-up had surfaced in February last year when Ellyse attended the Australian Cricket Awards in Melbourne without her wedding ring.

She didn’t mention Matt in her acceptance speech when she won the Belinda Clark award for Australia’s best female cricketer for a third consecutive year.
But the couple insisted they were still together and that Perry didn’t wear her ring due to a swollen finger.
‘While we both currently live with demanding schedules and responsibilities related to the nature of our careers, we are committed to our relationship and refute any claims to the contrary,’ the pair said to the Sydney Morning Herald at the time.
‘We have a strong love and respect for one another and any report that our marriage has ended is incorrect.’
The couple met at Sydney Airport in 2012 and made their first public appearance as a couple was at rugby’s 2013 John Eales Medal awards.
The pair announced their engagement less than a year later.
