Erika Jayne has hit back after she was spotted at a gas station with messy hair and no makeup amid her divorce from disgraced former lawyer Tom Girardi and mounting legal woes.

Not long after pictures emerged of the ordinarily glammed up reality star pumping gas in a dressed down outfit on Sunday, The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star took to Twitter to defend herself against the scrutiny.

‘Goodnight Twitter, please be in full glam when pumping gas. Apparently it’s a big deal,’ Erika, 49, tweeted on Monday, along with a rolling eyes emoji.

She also replied to several Twitter users earlier sticking up for her and the dressed down look.

Twitter user Mackenzie. tweeted ‘My thoughts every time I pump gas’ along with a meme of Erika saying on RHOBH, ‘It ain’t glamorous, man.’

Meanwhile, @hausofchelsea tweeted of the photos, ‘y’all don’t know s**t about erika cause this has always been her when she’s just hanging with her friends. but go off i guess.’

‘Exactly,’ Erika wrote in her response.

Erika is in the middle of a messy divorce from her ex Tom Girardi after more than 20 years of marriage and facing a slew of controversies including allegations of embezzlement.

The gas station sighting was one of her first public outings since the new documentary The Housewife and the Hustler aired earlier this week.

Jayne had been dropped by her legal team from the firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP Monday amid the release of the new Hulu doc (though they later reinstated themselves.)

The legal firm said ‘the relationship of trust and confidence that is essential to a properly functioning attorney-client relationship has broken down and, in the good faith assessment of counsel, the relationship is irreparable,’ Page Six reported Tuesday, citing court docs it reviewed.

The firm, which was representing Jayne in the bankruptcy of her estranged husband, said it had informed the Atlanta-born reality star of its decision on Monday.

The firm said it had advised the Bravo personality of ‘the potential consequences of not timely securing replacement counsel’ if she did not retain a new attorney in a timely fashion.

On Thursday, ‘just two days after asking a judge to sign off on their exit’ her lawyers ended up filing ‘legal papers to remain as her counsel’ according to the outlet.

The Housewife and the Hustler featured interviews with former clients accusing Girardi, 82, of financial theft in their cases, and noted Jayne’s involvement in an LLC he had, with some funds allegedly being routed to her company EJ Global.

Tom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia in March, the same month his legal license in California was revoked.

Tom faces a litany of legal problems, including a $2 million class action lawsuit claiming fraud and embezzlement from the firm Edelson PC in connection with the 2018 Lion Air Flight 610 crash, in which all 189 people onboard died.

He and Erika were sued for allegedly embezzling funds meant for families of victims, while Edelson PC, a firm for their ex clients, said in court docs their divorce last fall was orchestrated to ‘fraudulently protect Tom and Erika’s money’ as they’re ‘on the verge of financial collapse.’

In the Hulu doc, attorney Sunny Hostin pointed out that Erika is seeking to have her high-dollar items classified as ‘separate property’ in their split, claiming they were ‘gifts to her.’

Reporter Brandon Lowrey of Law360 said in the doc that the estranged couple is ‘together in these bankruptcy proceedings’ and that ‘it’s going to be hard for her to say she didn’t know that anything was going on.’

Meanwhile, the investigation in Erika’s assets has allegedly uncovered loans she received from her estranged husband’s law firm Girardi Keese.

According to a motion filed by the bankruptcy trustee investigating Girardi’s law firm, Erika’s businesses received over $20 million in loans from Girard Keese in recent years.

A trustee’s special litigation counsel is working to investigate what happened to millions of dollars in settlement funds that Girardi’s clients never received after Girardi successfully won cases for them.
