    Eva Longoria confirms she will be ‘be the first to sign up’ if a Desperate Housewives revival is in the works


    Eva Longoria became a household name around the world for her role as the feisty Gabrielle Solis in the comedy-drama Desperate Housewives.

    She revealed to Stellar Magazine on Saturday she would ‘be the first to sign up’ if a revival of the defunct hit show was in the works. 

    The 46-year-old said: ‘I’m dying to get back into Gabby’s skin. That was like the best time of my life. What a gift that show was to me.’

    She starred alongside Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Dana Delany and Nicollette Sheridan from 2004 to until the season eight finale in 2012.

    The series was an acclaimed hit and won back-to-back Golden Globes for Best Series – Musical or Comedy in 2005 and 2006.

    Eva added: ‘And you know, if there was a revival to happen, I would be the first to sign up.’

    The actress also talked about how eager she is to return Down Under.

    She said that prior to the Covid pandemic, she used to travel to Australia annually and is now more than ever keen to visit and catch up with her local friends.

    ‘There is nobody like Australians – they are so friendly and warm, and the country is just so welcoming and inviting. Australia has a very special place in my heart,’ she said.

    Since the show wrapped in 2012, Eva has had a range of other film and TV projects, including the series Grand Hotel, Devious Maids and producing Dora and the Lost City of Gold. 

    She also established her own production company – UnbeliEVAble Entertainment – in 2016, and ventured into directing with her upcoming film Flamin’ Hot.

    In her personal life, she married Mexican businessman José Bastón in 2016 and they welcomed a son Santiago, now three.
