Morgan Jones and Grace fought off a crazed radiation burned couple intent on stealing baby Mo on Sunday night’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead on AMC.
The frantic couple covered their bleeding faces in bandages and carried with them their zombie baby locked in a suitcase as they tried to kidnap crying Mo.
The episode titled ‘Six Hours’ started with Morgan [Lennie James] and Grace Mukherjee [Karen David] struggling to survive inside the submarine after the nuclear explosion.
Six hours: Morgan Jones could only go out for six hours at a time due to heavy radiation on Sunday’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead on AMC
Baby Mo kept crying constantly with hunger pains and the sound was driving Grace, who lost her own baby during childbirth, crazy.
Grace decided to go outside after the nuclear apocalypse to search for food. She put on a hazmat suit and monitored a radiation Geiger counter as he made her way through the bleak and barren landscape.
She eventually found a store but most of its stock had been raided and what was left was being eaten by rats. A couple walked in and she hid.
Distraught, she ran outside screaming and told the couple they could rob her and take everything from her.

She started crying, still wearing her gas mask, and screamed ‘I don’t want to be here anymore.’
Grace returned to the submarine where she was hiding out with Morgan. When she came back empty handed, Morgan said that he would go out to try to get food. Baby Mo kept crying no matter what Grace did. Morgan told her to sing to her, but Grace told him that she couldn’t. Eventually, she played the baby music and she stopped crying.
Morgan returned and woke Grace up. He told her they needed to leave the sub if they wanted to survive. Morgan showed her that he had rigged a car to operate on diesel gas siphoned from the sub. He convinced her to leave and they drove off in the car with the baby and their dog Rufus.

‘It’s a lot worse than I thought,’ said Grace looking at the fiery new world after the explosion.
Then the radiation counter in the car started going crazy and Grace said they were a lot closer than they thought to the blast site. Morgan then put on a tape that Grace had made for her child Athena who she lost and Grace had a breakdown.
She kept yelling at Morgan to turn it off but the tape was stuck. Her frantic behavior caused Morgan to crash the car.

Morgan got out and noticed that the wheel was bent. Grace looked at her radiation counter, which she rigged up to tell them how long they could safely spend outside, and she told Morgan he only had had 30 minutes to fix it.
Just then Grace ripped off her gas mask and told Morgan to go ahead without her. She told him the car would be lighter without her. He urged her to put the mask back on but she refused. Morgan told her she would die and she said she knew she would.
‘I’m okay with that,’ Grace said.

She told him that it was his idea to put the gun down in the sub when they were going to kill themselves and save baby Mo. She said that was his decision and he had to live with it but not her.
‘I’m sorry Morgan but I can’t, ‘ said Grace.
Morgan told her to put the mask back on but she said she just didn’t have it in her. Just then they heard the sound of a shotgun cartridge being cocked, and Grace and Morgan put their hands up.

A couple, with bandages covering their faces, came up and held them at gunpoint and opened the door of the car. Their dog Rufus ran out. The woman saw the baby. Morgan told them they could take the car, but to leave them baby Mo.
The couple insisted the baby was their child Emma and told them they were going to take her back. The couple forced Morgan and Grace at gunpoint to change the tire of the car. Grace told Morgan she thought the reason the couple was wearing bandages was because they had been burned by the blast.
The radiation counter kept jumping up and Morgan told them he had to protect the child and that the counter hadn’t been jumping that high until they showed up. Grace told Morgan she meant what she said before but that she decided she wasn’t going to give up now that the couple was trying to take away Mo. Grace told Morgan that she couldn’t be a family with him and Mo. Morgan told her he wouldn’t apologize for giving them more days together.

Zombies drawn to the sound of the crying baby then started pounding on the windows. The bandaged man told the woman to shut up the baby and said ‘you remember what happened last time.’
The zombies outside seemed different and were oozing blood on the windows. The woman told Morgan the zombies were from the crater.
The woman told Grace her name was Bea and that her husband was named Fred [Derek Richardson]. Morgan told them that they could all get in the car together and travel to a safe place.

‘You know about Padre, too?’ asked Bea [Maren Lord].
Fred told her to be quiet. Morgan tried to encourage them by telling them that their daughter could still be out there and that he would try and help find her. Fred told Bea to put their things in the car and she threw in a small suitcase.
Fred then pointed a gun at Morgan and Grace and told them to back up. Morgan grabbed Fred’s gun but Grace stopped him from shooting them. Morgan told her that he already lost one child and Grace reminded him that she lost a child. too.

Morgan shot at the car. The car stopped. He ran over and pulled Fred from the car. When they were fighting, Fred’s bandages came off to reveal his face had been partially melted off from the radiation. Bea grabbed baby Mo and ran into a nearby building.
They all then took shelter in the building. Bea showed Grace and Morgan that her face was burned, too. Fred told them they tried to escape the blast site like them but that if they kept driving in that direction they were heading that they would end up like them.
Morgan asked them where they were trying to take the baby. Fred pointed to an area on the map near Victoria they called Padre, which he said he knew was safe.

Grace told them about the sub and told them they would all come back with them and hide out there. Fred said they didn’t have time. More zombies started circling the building and Grace told them that they needed to get to the car now.
They fought the zombies and then made it back to the car. Grace admitted to Morgan that she was scared. Grace urged him to not listen to these people and to take her back to the sub.
A car then came out of nowhere and shined its headlights on them. Morgan told them to go take cover. Morgan then started shooting at the figure that got out of the car.

The suitcase in the car started moving. Morgan asked Bea what really happened to her baby and then shot the zombie baby locked in the suitcase.
Morgan then realized that Fred would kill baby Mo and warned Grace. She shot Fred just as it appeared he was going to smother the baby.
Grace picked up the baby and held it close to her. She started singing to baby Mo and the infant immediately stopped crying. Morgan pulled up in the car to the building and killed all the zombies surrounding it. Grace grabbed baby Mo and got in the car with Morgan. Morgan told Grace he was sorry for taking them away from the sub.

‘Maybe we are trying too hard,’ said Morgan. ‘You are not replacing Athena, Grace, you know that right.’
She hugged Morgan and said, ‘I know.’
Morgan and Grace returned to the sub, but Strand’s commando’s were there waiting and turned their guns on them. Howard [Omid Abtahi] told them they didn’t want any trouble. Morgan told them that it was their sub, but Howard told him it belonged to the Pacific fleet. Morgan asked him if he had been following him and if they came to steal from them.

Howard then realized he was talking to the Morgan Jones. He said that Victor Strand told him about him. Morgan was shocked that Victor was alive. Howard then told Grace that she could secure herself a place in the Tower. He told them that Victor was building a place removed from the fallout ‘an ark that would carry us into the future.’
Grace told Howard that she knew what Victor did to Morgan and that she wasn’t interested in what he was offering.
‘You don’t have to do that,’ said Morgan.

‘Yes, I do,’ Grace said.
‘He’s going to be disappointed,’ said Howard.
Howard told Grace it was her only chance for her and the baby.
Cute baby: Mo was protected by Morgan and Grace
‘We’re staying,’ Grace told him.
Howard stole food from the sub and left. Now alone, Grace and Morgan turned and saw that baby Mo had started crawling and they were both so happy.
While looking at Mo on the floor they realized there was a hidden floor compartment and found a huge cache of food including oatmeal and powdered milk that could last them for several months.
