Both members of the ‘White House Plumbers’ — a special investigations unit created to stop the leak of classified information such as the Pentagon Papers to the media — the duo organized a break in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters.

Liddy refused to testify to the Senate committee investigating the scandal and served nearly 52 months in prison, whereas Hunt spent 33 months in prison.
