Gregg’s often changes and updates its menu, having added new products to its range over the past year. The latest edition to its vast selection of baked goods is a vegan version of a fan favourite pastry.

Since its launch in 2019, Gregg’s vegan sausage roll has become immensely popular with meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Following its success, the fast-food chain is now introducing another option for plant-based dieters.

Gregg’s has announced it will be launching the Vegan Sausage, Bean, and Cheeze melt from next week.

The new savoury treat will be available in all Gregg’s stores from Thursday, August 5.

Another person commented: “This is the greatest day of my life.”

Another excited customer said: “Not to be dramatic but I’m actually going to cry, this is what I’ve been waiting for.”

One person wrote: “My prayers have been answered, I’ve been begging to get my hands on this for years. Can’t wait.”

    Another person added: “Omg unreal.”

    One person simply said: “Gamechanger.”

Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Gregg’s, commented on the move. She said: “The latest addition to our menu gives customers another vegan friendly alternative to one of our most iconic menu items.

“As we expand our vegan options with the launch of our new Vegan Sausage, Bean, and Cheeze Melt, we mark another milestone as we continue with our journey to become our customers’ favourite destination for food-on-the-go.”

The new bake is not the only vegan treat to be launched by Gregg’s this year.

In June, the fast-food chain introduced the Vegan Ham and Cheeze baguette to its range.

The baguette is made from Quorn ham and cheddar flavoured “cheeze” slices.

Gregg’s also launched other new savoury items, including wraps, sandwiches, and pasta pots.

The wraps were a Mexican Chicken Wrap and a Chicken Ceaser and Bacon Wrap.

Meanwhile, the sandwiches included a Tuna Mayonnaise and Cucumber Sandwich, a Free Range Egg Mayonnaise Sandwich, and a Roast Chicken and Bacon Sandwich.

The new pasta pots were the Tuna Crunch Pasta, the Chicken and Bacon Pasta, and the Feta and Tomato Pasta.
