Gino D’Acampo had a whale of a time when he filmed a Christmas advert in the streets of Liverpool on Monday.

Donning an all-grey tracksuit and with a Footasylum bag strapped across his torso, the celebrity chef, 45, struck a series of poses while surrounded by trendily-clad extras.

Gino was surrounded by fake snow and fairylights and the city’s streets looked magical and festive.

Gino teamed his tracksuit with box-fresh black trainers and a vintage double decker bus was also seen on set.

Hinting that the advert will take inspiration from classic Christmas flick Love Actually, one model was seen holding white placards baring the words: ‘Tell them it’s carol singers,’ and ‘Just because it’s Christmas’.

Other campaign models donned Santa hats and were adorned with silver tinsel.

It’s unclear whether the shoot was for footwear brand Footasylum. MailOnline has reached out to representatives for Gino and Footasylum for comment.

Gino’s shoot comes a week after he broke down on This Morning as he recalled the last meal his mother Alba ever cooked for him before she died.

The star last ate with his beloved parent in August 2017 and she sadly passed away the following day. It’s not known why she died.

The television star explained: ‘There’s always a moment when someone asks you a question and they asked me what was my most memorable dish.’

Tearing up, he continued: ‘It was spaghetti with clams and my mother made it for me and she died the day after.

‘I think it has to be the most significant meal I had,’ he explained. ’13th of August 2017.

‘I went to see my mum, and she cooked an amazing spaghetti alle vongole. Such a simple thing with garlic and a bit of cherry tomato and clams. The day after, she died.’

He added: ‘I think… it feels that she knew that she was going to die. So she put everything into that meal, you know what I mean?’
