Calling all couch potatoes! Gogglebox is casting new households for season 15 – after two families left the show

Gogglebox Australia season 15 is set to air in 2022.

And a casting call for the popular Foxtel-Channel 10 show has now been released by production company EndemolShine Australia on MyCastingNet.

‘We are always on the lookout for fresh, inspiring and unique talent that will surprise and delight us and our viewers,’ the notice reads.

Producers are looking for Australian citizens or permanent residents who live in Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Melbourne.

To apply, potential Goggleboxers need to fill out an application form with pictures and videos of their household to show where they watch TV.

Auditions opened after it was announced two families wouldn’t be returning this year.

The Delpechitra family – Patrick, Tracey, and their children Wendel, Vestal and Ethan – who live in Sydney’s west, aren’t featured in season 14.

Also taking a step back is the Elias family, comprising parents Les and Danielle and their three children Jacob, Lily Rose and Ivy.

Five of the six original Gogglebox households all signed up for the current season, including art dealers Mick and Di Kershaw, grandparents Lee and Keith, best friends Anastasia Katselas and Faye Kontos, and the Dalton family.

Brother-and-sister duo Tim and Leanne Lai also made a comeback, as did teachers Milo and Nic.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, other fan favourites returned – but with a slight twist.

The Silbery family appear with 93-year-old Emmie and her daughter Kerry on their couch, while granddaughter Isabelle has joined via Zoom.

The same goes for Matty and Sarah Marie Fahd whose best pal Jad Nehmetallah is Zooming in, and frontline worker Kaday Kamara whose pal Chantel Bakac provides commentary over video link.
