Google Pixel 6 price could have leaked – and it's great news for Android fans

If this handset retails for €649, that’s just €20 more than the Pixel 5 launched at. At the time of its reveal, Google described this handset as a phone “designed for economic downturn”, launching amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And while the Pixel 5 was cheaper than the Pixel 4, in some cases it was an inferior phone specs wise. The Pixel 4 had a glass back which the Pixel 5 didn’t, was powered by the Snapdragon 855 while the Pixel 5 had a Snapdragon 765G chip, and the Pixel 5 ditched one of the Pixel 4’s big features – Motion Sense.

However, from what we’ve seen so far the Pixel 6 won’t offer similar downgrades compared to the Pixel 5, despite a rumoured price tag that’s only slightly more.

Far from it, the Pixel 6 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting Pixel launches in, well, forever. The Pixel 6 will be the first phone to feature a custom built chip, which will bring with it a raft of benefits.
