Greggs Christmas menu 2022 confirms return of festive fan favourite

Festive food fans have been excited to learn that Greggs will be bringing back its Christmas menu to stores very soon.

In fact, the company has confirmed that their iconic Festive Bake will be from as early as next week – Thursday, November 10 – across the UK.

The chain has also announced that those who are eager can even reserve their Festive Bake and skip the queue by ordering ahead via Click+Collect on the Greggs App.

One of Greggs’ most popular seasonal items, the bake contains chicken, sage, and onion stuffing and bacon, with a creamy sage and cranberry sauce baked inside the crumb-topped pastry. However, last year, Greggs also introduced a vegan version using Quorn plant-based chicken and bacon, following the success of its plant-based takes on other Greggs classics.

And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, the food chain has also confirmed to Express Online it will be revealing its festive menu for 2022 next week, too.

Needless to say, many people were quick to share their excitment at the news, with one person tweeting “Christmas is coming early.”

“Can’t wait. I’ll have 12,” wrote a second. “Honestly, the Festive Bake is the best part of Christmas Time,” said a third.

“Earlier than I expected!” commented another user, “lovely.”

Meanwhile, some people were eager for the full menu to be released, and were keen to offer their suggestions for what to include.

“Nevermind all that – bring back the bacon brie and cranberry baguette!” wrote one user, with another adding “Second this.”

“When are the mint hot chocolates back?” asked someone else, to which Greggs replied that people should “keep your eyes peeled.”

To celebrate the beginning of the festive season, Greggs will also be hosting a series of exclusive Festive Bake Brunches across the country this month. Guests can enjoy exclusive sharing platters accompanied by prosecco and delicious handcrafted cocktails with a seasonal twist.

These will reportedly be events held in London on November 12, Manchester on November 19 and Newcastle on November 26.

Greggs will be unveiling a booking link for the events on their social media at 12pm on Friday, November 4.
