The highly-anticipated fifth and final season of Insecure will air this Sunday on HBO.
And Issa Rae brought the glamour on Thursday night as she led star arrivals at the comedy-drama series’ premiere in Los Angeles.
The 36-year-old leading lady turned heads in a clingy tan dress with color coordinating ostrich feathers lining the hem and wrists.

The fitted number’s criss-cross neckline created a large cut-out in the front, allowing Issa to showcase her toned tummy, as well as a tasteful amount of underboob, on the red carpet.
The LA native’s slipped her feet into a pair of strappy gold heels and accessorized with a pair of chunky diamond earrings.
Her brunette hair was slicked back and styled into a gorgeous double braid that flowed down her back.
As for makeup, Rae rocked a dramatic smokey eyeshadow look and applied a generous amount of clear lip gloss to her pout.

She was later joined by her second in command Yvonne Orji, who plays Issa’s BFF Molly Carter on the hit series, who dazzled in a pair of purple flared trousers and a pale pink bustier.
The 37-year-old actress layered up her look with a dramatic feathered shrug.

Issa created Insecure with her writing pal Larry Wilmore and draws inspiration from her popular web series Awkward Black Girl, which premiered on YouTube in 2011.
Appearing on the Tamron Hall Show earlier this week, Rae opened up about deciding to end Insecure after five seasons on HBO.

‘I’m very conscious of people giving their time to the show and five years is a lot of time, and six years for some of us,’ she explained.
‘And you know, from the writers to the crew to the actors, I knew, I’m like, “We’re gonna get tired of each other after maybe four years, five years. So let’s cut it short while we still love each other.'”
Although the entire cast and crew of Insecure ‘love each other so much,’ Issa couldn’t help but cite some sound advice her mother ‘always’ told her: ‘Never overstay your welcome.’
