Jamie Cullum pens a sweet birthday tribute to his wife Sophie Dahl

Jamie Cullum took to social media to celebrate his wife Sophie Dahl’s birthday with a sweet gallery of snaps on Thursday. 

Posting on Instagram, the singer, 42, said: ‘Happy Birthday to the fountain of Goodness that is @mssopkiedahl Ever more awesome as the years go by. I love you so much Xxx appy birthday.’

He shared series of images of his wife including a beautiful head shot of the model holding a tortoise. 

Happy Birthday:  Singer song-writer Jamie Cullum took to social media to wish his gorgeous wife Sophie Dahl a happy birthday on Thursday.

In another image, Sophie dons a novelty reindeer headband while being given a birthday kiss by their pet dog.  

The final image was a cute snap of a relaxed Sophie posing for the camera as her dog lovingly looks on.

Fans and celebrity friends flocked to the site to wish her a great day.  Celebrity Chef Oliver posted ‘Happy Birthday’ followed by a series of heart and hugs emoji’s.  

Make-up artist Lisa Eldridge who also shared birthday greetings with the message: ‘Happy Birthday dear Sophie.’

Jamie recently revealed to Red the secret to keeping his 10-year marriage to the super model going strong. 

He said: ‘Loving her has challenged my perceptions about what it means to live, love and think’.

Jamie also spoke about the importance of ‘growing to meet each other’ in a long-term relationship.

‘We were both really big readers, and we both loved cooking for our friends; she still had all the same friends from school and I still had mine,’ he said.

‘She is also a straight talker, and I prefer people like that. I guess the definition of love is when you are able to reveal both your best and worst sides, and that person still loves you.’

The pair now share two daughters; Lyra, nine, and Margot, seven.

Jamie has previously spoke about his romance with Sophie, sharing on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in 2012 that he didn’t think for one second that she would be ‘interested in him’.

He also made light of the fact that people still comment on the couples height difference with him standing at 5ft 4 in and Sophie towering over him at 5ft 11  

He joked: ‘Most people think I am about 12 years old. I always looked really young.

‘When I was at school there was an announcement at assembly that said, ”Girls in the later classes must not pick up Jamie Cullum and carry him around”. 

‘I remember at break time being plucked and picked up – I quite liked it.’
