Kate and William behaved 'like any married couple' during 'whirlwind' romantic royal event

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated 10 years of marriage in April this year. To mark the special occasion, two stunning portraits of the couple were shared with the public.

Photographer Chris Floyd has now spoken out on snapping the pictures of William and Kate.

He told Us Weekly: “I would say that they were just like any married couples.

“They were just like any married couple who seemed to just love being very happy in each other’s company.

    “It was that straightforward.

“I just said, ‘Look, this is your 10th anniversary, just be the couple that you are with each other and forget that I’m here.’

“They don’t need me to tell them how to be with each other.”

Mr Floyd also revealed how welcome the Cambridges made him feel when he went to Kensington Palace to take the photos.

He said: “It was their home and I was made to feel welcome in their home.

“It was like going to anyone else’s … I mean it’s not like anyone else’s house, but it was the same as going to someone else’s house.

“It was just a slightly grander version of most houses.”

In the snaps, the couple – both wearing blue – are seen cuddling and beaming.

The anniversary marked also marked a decade of being a member of the Royal Family for Kate.

Future king William married his bride, who he met when they were students at university, in a spectacular ceremony at Westminster Abbey on April 29 2011.

Kate is said to have caught William’s eye when she walked down the catwalk in a see-through dress at a charity fashion show in 2002.

The couple announced their engagement in November 2010 and tied the knot less than six months later.

Ten years on, the couple are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
