Katie Holmes rocks a '90s chic look with baggy jeans while taking a walk in NYC

She was noted for being seemingly inseparable from her ex-boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr.

But Katie Holmes was on a solo stroll on Saturday when she took a journey through the past to show off some choice 1990s style.

The 42-year-old actress looked as stylish as ever in a casual pair of baggy jeans while relaxing with a casual walk in New York City.

Katie contrasted her dark jeans with a blue-and-white striped T-shirt with a brown leather saddle bag slung across her torso. 

She showed off her pink-painted toes in dark brown sandals and carried a light brown baseball cap in her hand.

The Batman Begins actress had her brunette tresses tied back messily and wore a beige disposable mask to help slow the spread of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

New York joined California in relaxing Covid-19 restrictions earlier this month, and people in those states no longer have to wear masks inside most businesses, unless still required by individual establishments.

However, the World Health Organization urged fully vaccinated people to continue wearing masks and practicing social distancing as a new Delta variant of the coronavirus has been spreading globally.

Earlier on Saturday, Katie shared a still of herself overcome with laughter during an appearance on Late Night With Conan O’Brien to mark the end of the comedians tenure on the late night circuit as he moves from his current TBS show to HBO Max.

She was two days late, however, as Thursday was the comedian’s final show.

Earlier this week, Deadline reported a major new venture from the actress with the launch of her new production company, Lafayette Pictures.

She’s collaborating on the new company with Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Jesse Korman of Yale Productions, with whom she’s collaborating on an upcoming film she wrote, directed, produced and starred in.

The still-untitled movie also features Jim Sturgess, Derek Luke, Melissa Leo and Zosia Mamet.

Katie and Jim will presumably be playing strangers who are both in relationships that are falling apart who accidentally both book the same Airbnb in Upstate New York, only for them to be forced to stay there together when the state goes into lockdown at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Until last month, Katie was couple up with the chef Emilio Vitolo Jr., who heads the popular Italian–American restaurant Emilio’s Ballato in New York with his father, Emilio Vitolo Sr. 

Although the actress and the restaurateur were nearly inseparable in late 2020 and early 2021, the went their separate ways in May.

A spokesperson for her told Us Weekly last month that the two had parted ‘amicably’ and were ‘still friends.’

Another insider who spoke to the publication added that their ‘relationship fizzled.’

‘They figured out they’re better off as friends. There’s no drama that went down with the breakup,’ the source said.

According to them, Katie is now focused on prioritizing her private and professional lives at the moment.
