One of the stories the couple shared with the publication was their decision to move the wedding up because of Richards’ pregnancy.

The star said she was nervous to do all of the activities associated with her traditional Jewish ceremony.

‘I can remember thinking, “I am so worried about people lifting me up on a chair while I’m pregnant and doing the hora,”‘ Richards said. ‘I thought, “Oh my God, I cannot believe I’m doing this pregnant and being lifted into the air.”‘

Richards’ daughter from her first marriage, Farrah was also part the couple’s wedding. Umansky said he had to ask Farrah to marry him too.

‘That’s something important!’ Richards said. ‘When my husband asked me to marry him, he also gave Farrah a little “engagement ring” that was a heart with two hands holding it.’

The couple have three other children together: Alexia, 25, Sophia, 21, and Portia, 13.

Richards opened up about what lessons they hope their children take away from their many happy years together.

‘You know, it’s very hard to teach your kids this is what you should do and this is the right way to live your life,’ the ER actress said. ‘You have to lead by example. And our kids see us as being very proud of our family and loving being a family unit. And sometimes I do think that these are big shoes to fill. I know my husband and I are very fortunate, but I hope we set the bar high so they don’t ever settle.’
