Roxy Jacenko made headlines this week after revealing she’d bought a $270,000 luxury Mercedes for her nine-year-old daughter, Pixie Curtis.

And outspoken Triple M host Lawrence Mooney praised the shrewd PR queen on Wednesday, implying the purchase may have been some kind of ‘tax deduction’.

‘She is under the pump, yet again,’ Mooney said on his Moonman in the Morning breakfast show. ‘And I wish people would just leave her alone!’

‘Roxy has splashed out $270,000 dollars for a car, a brand new Merc, a Mercedes Benz GL, for her daughter,’ he continued.

‘And everyone’s started to really jump in on it.’

‘She’s a friend of her show and a friend of mine,’ he added, before explaining the car was purchased for Pixie following the success of her toy range, Pixie’s Fidgets.

‘She’s done very well, Pixie. She’s created this toy range and made a huge amount of money and so her mum has bought her a Mercedes,’ Mooney said, before wondering how Roxy would use the vehicle as Pixie is too young to drive.

Mooney then said Pixie’s business career began when she was an infant, implying that Roxy could put it under her name to avoid paying tax.

‘Suppose your mum could drive around in it, and it would be a tax deduction on your business, which would be good for you, Pixie, ’cause you’d be paying less tax on your fidgets,’ he theorised.

‘Ahh this family. I wish I could be like them!’

Triple M co-host Jess Eva inadvertently called the purchase a ‘tax dodge’ before Mooney swiftly corrected her by saying it was a ‘tax deduction’ and that he didn’t want to ‘cast aspersions’.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Roxy Jacenko for comment.
