It was listed again just four months later for $4.3million, selling for just above the asking price.

While property agents refused to name the new buyers, they are rumoured to be the 40-year-old tennis ace and his 38-year-old retired actress wife.

According to Kingfisher Realty’s Conal Martin, The Palms sold quickly after hitting the market late last month.

‘There’s still a lot of interest but it’s all too late,’ Mr Martin added.

The $4.305million sale marks a new record for Burleigh Heads.

When it sold in May, it attracted more than 600 people at the auction.

It’s part of the Hewitts growing property portfolio, with the couple also purchasing a home in Melbourne’s Toorak for $12.7million earlier in the year.
