Love Island 2021: Meet the Casa Amor Islanders!

    [ad_1]

The holiday of a lifetime awaits a brand-new influx of Islanders on ITV2’s Love Island on Sunday, as the show gets ready to enjoy some further twists and turns from the heady heights of Casa Amor.

Six beautiful new ladies and a further six hunky men are set to make their debut and will no doubt test the strength of the couples who have vowed not to have their heads turned – with half of the new cast announced on Saturday night.

The new arrivals include DJ Kaila Troy, 28, from Dublin, car salesman Harry Young, 24, from Glasgow, Chris Hughes’ model ex Mary Bedford and 24-year-old Medhy Malanda – an American footballer originally from Belgium.

As always, the Islanders must couple up in order to secure their place in the villa, with those who stay single finding themselves at risk of being dumped from the island.

The other newcomers include model and influencer Salma Naran, 20, from Dublin and strategic marketing consultant Matthew Macnabb, 26, from Belfast.

Several of the new boys already have their eyes on original islander Kaz – who after a rocky start recently found love with newcomer Tyler – , including Harry and Medhy.

Asked which girls he was most interested in Medhy – who has been single for four years – said: ‘Definitely Kaz. Kaz’s personality is fiery, she’s got energy, she’s funny and she’s got a beautiful smile and she’s a nice girl in general. And Millie seems like a nice girl and she’s obviously good looking as well.’

‘Stepping on toes is not even a question! It’s part of the game, if you’re not happy to have your toes stepped on then don’t come to the show; especially when it comes to Casa Amor. I’m here for that.

‘I am a happy person, I’m a lot like Kaz. I’ve always got a lot of energy. I’m genuine and loyal. That’s how I am.’

While Harry also has his eyes on the beauty, saying: ‘Kaz has always been in my top three. But once I’m in there and speaking with people, it could change.’

    Name: Kaila Troy

    Age: 28

    From: Dublin

    Occupation: International DJ

What are you looking forward to in the Villa? I’m really looking forward to meeting everybody and finding somebody. I’m really intrigued and excited about who I’ll meet in there.

    Occupation: Mary Bedford

    Age: 22

    From: Wakefield

    Occupation: Model

Who have you got your eye on in the Villa? Liam. He’s just beautiful. He’s 6ft6 for a start, he seems really old-school, like a gentleman. And he’s basically the same age as me. He’s perfect. Other than that Teddy or Toby.

    Name: Medhy Malanda

    Age: 24

    From: Luton (originally Belgium)

Occupation: American football player and model

Will you step on toes to get who you want? Stepping on toes is not even a question! It’s part of the game, if you’re not happy to have your toes stepped on then don’t come to the show; especially when it comes to Casa Amor. I’m here for that.

    Name: Harry Young

    Age: 24

    From: Glasgow

    Occupation: Car salesman

Who have you got your eye on in the Villa? Kaz has always been in my top three. But once I’m in there and speaking with people, it could change.

    Name: Salma Naran

    Age: 20

    From: Dublin

    Occupation: Model/influencer

Why have you signed up for Love Island? I’ve never been in love. What better place to have a tunnel vision and really finding your one? It’s the perfect atmosphere, you don’t have the outside world distractions. It looks like time moves fast in there in a good way – it’s like, do you actually like me or not? In the real world it’s so wishy-washy. With this, it’s just, you need to know.

    Name: Matthew Macnabb

    Age: 26

    From: Belfast

    Occupation: Strategic marketing consultant

How would your friends/ family describe you? My family would describe me as very relaxed and laid back, positive and optimistic. And my friends would describe me as very adventurous and very positive.

Meanwhile, new girl Mary is keen to get to know Liam, saying: ‘He’s just beautiful. He’s 6ft6 for a start, he seems really old-school, like a gentleman. And he’s basically the same age as me. He’s perfect. Other than that Teddy or Toby.’

Asked if she will step on toes to get who she wants, she said: ‘I’m just going to get in there, see how Liam actually is feeling about Millie really and then reassess. I’m definitely not one to lay it on thick.

‘I’ll just do a bit of flirting and see how it goes. That’s the whole aim isn’t it? If I go in there and I really like Liam I’ll have to step on Millie’s toes. If all the boys are coupled up you will be stepping on toes. If I could get away with not having a conversation I probably would as I hate confrontation, but if I need to I would.’

DJ Kaila is also keen to meet the boys, saying: ‘Real life dating has not been doing me any favours at all. I’ve had it.

‘I’m really looking forward to meeting everybody and finding somebody. I’m really intrigued and excited about who I’ll meet in there.

Meanwhile Matthew won’t be afraid to ruffle a few feathers, saying: ‘I won’t have much of a problem with that. The guys haven’t known the girls that long so it’s not really a huge issue. I’m sure if they have a problem they’ll approach me.’

New boy Medhy fits the ‘tall, dark and handsome’ description that many of the girls have said is their type on paper and could put some existing couples under threat.

Medhy has an understated social media following with five thousand followers on Instagram.

The self proclaimed ‘prince of the city’ last posted earlier this month and has kept a low profile more recently in quarantine.

The athlete often sets pulses racing with snaps from his American football training as he puts his large biceps on full display.

There’s also a hint that the new Love Island star could be religious as his TikTok bio includes a quote from Psalm 23:4.

It reads: ‘Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me’.

Newcomer: Also heading into Casa Amor is footballer Alex Iwobi's'millionaire' model ex Clarisse Juliett who is no stranger to the limelight

Medhy’s profile sees him jet between London and Brussels and he’s now set to step out at the Casa Amor villa in Mallorca.

The Casa Amor stage of the series has historically sparked the most drama and is seen as the ultimate test for relationships.

Builders have been working frantically to get the new villa ready in time, after choosing to relocate from the rival property used in recent series.

It is believed the Casa Amor twist will even see the return of Love Island host Laura Whitmore, who hasn’t filmed from the villa in Mallorca since the start of the series.

The bombshell scenes are expected to air next week, with Islanders such as Mary currently isolating in a secret location ahead of the group’s big arrival on the show.

Viewers will hope Liberty’s partner Jake won’t be led astray by Mary, after he previously admitted to having a weakness to blondes.

Mary dated former Love Island favourite Chris, 28, shortly after his split from Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, 30, in August last year.

And producers believe the future Islander, from Wakefield, will be equally appealing to the current crop of male Islanders.

A source said: ‘Mary will turn heads, there’s no doubt about that. She’s a model, into her fashion and looks great in a bikini. Even the lads in solid relationships might start to wobble in her company.’

Mary has her own YouTube channel and boasts 185,000 Instagram followers, including former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan and ex-Love Islanders Molly-Mae Hague and Kaz Crossley.

She was first spotted by a fashion brand while buying a tracksuit during a school trip with her textiles class, and was approached to model for them.

Also heading into Casa Amor is footballer Alex Iwobi’s ‘millionaire’ model ex Clarisse Juliette.

Clarisse is no stranger to fame, having dated the Premier League star for four years and also being briefly involved with rapper Diddy’s son Justin Combs, 27.

Jewellery business owner Clarisse – who is said to already be worth more than £1million – was also linked to Rae Sremmurd rapper Swae Lee, 28, in 2019.

Swae’s then-girlfriend Marliesia Ortiz had accused the hit-maker of cheating on her with Clarisse while they holidayed together in Thailand.

Speaking of Clarisse’s already ‘huge following’, a source told The Sun: ‘Clarisse is almost like another Molly-Mae Hague in that she already has a huge following.’

Yay! It is believed the Casa Amor twist will even see the return of Love Island host Laura Whitmore, who hasn't filmed from the villa in Mallorca since the start of the series (pictured on the show's spin-off Aftersun)

They added: ‘First of all she’s stunning. But she’s really gained some fans on social media – mainly Instagram. She’s also got a blog and a popular YouTube channel.

‘But Clarisse isn’t just looks. She’s incredibly smart and has her own jewellery business.’
