Macklemore and wife Tricia Davis welcome their third child, son Hugo: 'He arrived rooted and calm'

Rapper Macklemore is a dad of three!

The artist and his wife Tricia Davis announced the arrival of their third child, a son they named Hugo.

Tricia revealed the happy news on Wednesday – six weeks after his birth.

Macklemore, born Ben Haggerty,  and Tricia are parents to daughters Sloane Ava Simone, six, and Colette Koala, three. 

She cradled her son in his arms as she wrote: ‘Six weeks ago in the shadow of the Buck Moon this beautiful human came into our lives.’

Adding: ‘He arrived rooted and calm, mostly just observing the two whirling dervishes around him… Welcome home Hugo. May you crush the distorted masculine and awaken the divine.’

Macklemore and Tricia dated for seven years before they got engaged on January 21, 2013.

They tied the knot on June 27, 2015.

In May 2021, the Good Old Days artist shared a sweet family photo in honor of Mother’s Day, writing a sweet note to Tricia.

He said: ‘I love you with everything. You raise our kids with grace, humility, patience, curiosity and humor. You’re sweet yet firm. Your imagination is child like.’

Adding: ‘You listen, teach and somehow remain balanced through it all. You are a hero to all 3 of us. And we just be having hella fun. Happy mother’s day my love. Thank you choosing us.’

In March 2019, Macklemore spoke up about life at him with his kids to People magazine.

He said: ‘My house sometimes feels like a ballet studio or like a repeat of the movie Frozen in my living room.’

Adding: ‘Sloan puts on the song and dances around and takes all the pillows off of the couch and starts jumping and doing leaps and somersaults.’
