MAFS: KC Osborne and Michael Goonan to appear on Ex on the Beach

Married At First Sight bride KC Osborne recently broke up with her boyfriend Jason Engler because the pair ‘just didn’t align’.

But a source close to the 32-year-old dancer has now claimed the real reason KC and Jason, 36, split was because she’s set to star on the new season of Ex on the Beach.

‘KC is supposed to fly out to Colombia next month to start filming, and she was told she needed to make it clear she was single,’ a source told Daily Mail Australia.

The insider added: ‘KC and Jason weren’t just a one-time hook-up. They were obsessed with each other.

‘He was serious about their relationship and even flew down to Sydney to hang out with her.’ 

Ex on the Beach producers are hoping for a ‘toxic love triangle’ and have also cast Michael Goonan – KC’s ex-boyfriend – and his MAFS bride Stacey Hampton.

A friend of Michael’s recently told Daily Mail Australia he was training up to four hours per day ahead of his return to reality television.

Heartbreak: ‘KC and Jason… were obsessed with each other. He was serious about their relationship and even flew down to Sydney to hang out with her,’ they said 

‘Michael is in the best shape he’s been in his whole life. They’ve got big plans for him to go in there and flirt up a storm. He is planning to go wild,’ they said.

KC announced her split from Jason earlier this month during a Q&A on Instagram.

When a fan asked what happened between the pair, she wrote: ‘We just don’t align with each other. That’s that. I’m good. I’m happy.’

Ex on the Beach bosses also asked KC’s MAFS groom Drew Brauer to appear on the show, but he declined because he is dating singer Samantha Clark.

Love Island alumni Jack Fincham and Georgia Steel are also set to star on the MTV series, which will air in Australia on the Paramount+ streaming platform. 

KC rose to fame on MAFS in 2020 where she was paired with musician Drew. The couple split after their final vows when they realised they were better off friends.

She went on to date businessman Michael, but they confirmed their amicable break-up a few months later.
