Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has broken his silence on controversial comments made about Marcus Rashford before their 4-2 defeat at Leicester City. The Norwegian claimed it was time for the attacker to ‘prioritise football’ which caused a stir in light of his various endeavours off the pitch.
Rashford underwent shoulder surgery after Euro 2020 which kept him side-lined for the start of this season.
Although his return against the Foxes was marked with an equalising goal, two late strikes from Leicester sealed a 4-2 victory which left United’s stars dejected after the final whistle.
With a tough run of games ahead, Solskjaer’s next task is to rally the troops before a tough Champions League double-header against Atalanta.
Although matters on the pitch are certainly tense, plenty of people were wondering how the boss and Rashford would address the comments he made prior to last weekend.
