“Be disappointed, be angry with me,” Solskjaer added.

“But be ready when you come on, and whoever starts, make sure you enjoy it because you don’t play too many finals in your life.

On Wednesday, victory against Villarreal in Gdansk will secure United’s second-ever Europa League crown, following Jose Mourinho’s success in 2017.

It would also mark the first piece of silverware for several members of Solskjaer’s current squad and act as the perfect end to a largely positive season.

Villarreal will be no pushovers, though, and are unbeaten in all 14 of their Europa League games this season, winning 12 of them.
