The royal couple revealed to Oprah Winfrey, in their CBS interview in March, that baby Archie would have a little sister for company. Ever since their announcement, speculation has been growing as to the name the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will choose. Meghan, 39, and Harry, 36, will certainly not be short of ideas, having received plenty of suggestions from well-wishers in the past.

The Duchess could be inspired to call her new baby “Amy” after a brief chat with one of her younger admirers.

While pregnant with Archie, Meghan visited a school in Birkenhead in 2019.

During the visit, she talked to some of children, including seven-year-old Megan Dudley.

Little Megan later told reporters that she had offered the Duchess some advice on names for her new baby.

She revealed: “I asked her whether she would call her baby Amy if she has a girl, and she said, ‘That’s a really pretty name, I like it.

“We’ll have to think about it.’ “
