Michael Clarke's prickly response when quizzed by Kyle and Jackie O about girlfriend Pip Edwards 

He’s been pictured swanning around Sydney’s eastern suburbs with his on-and-off girlfriend Pip Edwards in recent weeks. 

But Michael Clarke became suddenly shy when it came to discussing his love life with KIIS FM’s Kyle And Jackie O Show on Monday. 

The cricket star, 40, gave a rather prickly response after being quizzed about the status of his relationship during an awkward interview segment, telling them: ‘I’m sick of talking about my personal life.’

He snapped back yet again when asked why he and the activewear designer, 41, had decided to rekindle their romance. 

‘How do you know I’m back together [with Pip]? Oh, because it’s in the media!’ he grumbled.  

‘Yeah, we’ve seen photos’, co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson replied, referring to the multitude of photographs documenting the pair’s recent romantic outings.

Michael sarcastically hit back: ‘It must be true… you saw photos of what, Pip and I going for a walk together?’  

‘That’s the thing about me commenting on my personal life,’ he later added.

‘It actually doesn’t matter what I say, they’re going to run an article anyway. I’m just doing my thing, and I’m very happy.’

Michael and PE Nation designer Pip sparked rumours they were back together in September, months after their shock split in February. 

At the time, the pair were pictured buying acai bowls in Bondi Beach with Michael’s daughter, Kelsey Lee.

They have subsequently been pictured spending time on Michael’s boat and visiting restaurants together.

The reunion claims came after Pip called time on her relationship with Cameron Northway, the Bondi restaurateur she dated for four months after splitting with Michael.

Pip and Cameron, the co-owner of Rocker restaurant, were first linked in April when he was spotted leaving the activewear designer’s eastern suburbs home on two occasions.

Meanwhile, Michael was previously married to former model Kyly Boldy. They share daughter Kelsey Lee, five.

The couple separated in September 2019, but only revealed their split in a surprise announcement on February 12, 2020.
