Nadia Sawalha has slammed Matt Hancock over his shock affair and said that her heart is ‘broken’ for families affected by Covid.
The Loose Women star, 56, took to Instagram on Friday to share her thoughts on the married Health Secretary breaking social distancing rules in a damning clip which showed him kissing and groping his aide Gina Coladangelo.
It comes as Hancock resigned as Health Secretary on Saturday, the day after video footage emerged of his affair.
‘I am SO angry!’: Nadia Sawalha has slammed Matt Hancock over his shock affair and said that her heart is ‘broken’ for families affected by Covid
In a video shared to social media, Nadia ranted: ‘Right, I’ve had to come out into the car because I am so angry and I don’t want my kids hearing just how angry I am.
‘I am sure we will still be expected to stick to all the rules and make our teenagers stick to all the rules, and our kids stick to all the rules, while these f***ers continually break them.
‘I don’t give a damn if anyone out of the government breaks a rule, it’s none of my business, I don’t care.
‘But when the guy who stood on that podium week after week – with his family values face, and with his doing the right thing and pull together message – is groping someone who he has given a contract to in his ministerial office…

‘And the Prime Minister yet again comes out and says: “I accept his apology and the case is now closed.”
‘Who the hell does Boris Johnson think he is to think that we are going to accept that the case is closed. We had it with Dominic Cummings and it was too much, way too much, but to do it again…
‘Boris 100% believes that he and his cabinet can do whatever the f**k they like as long as he comes out at the end of it and says “this is now closed.”‘
Nadia said that she had been listening to stories on the radio about those affected by Covid and families only able to attend funerals for five minutes, saying her heart is ‘broken’.
She continued: ‘If we accept it this time then there is something severely wrong with us, there really is… we cannot keep on being told that there is a different rule for all of us… when are we going to say enough is enough?

‘What are you going to do Matt Hancock when we have another wave in autumn and you want us all to lockdown and not see our families, not hug?’
In the wake of the scandal, Boris Johnson was urged to sack Hancock amid a tidal wave of hypocrisy allegations over images and a subsequent video clip showing the Health Secretary kissing his married aide Gina at the Department for Health.
Despite championing draconian restrictions on ordinary citizens, he kissed and embraced Mrs Coladangelo on May 6 – eleven days before the ban on hugging was lifted. Both are married with three children.
On Saturday, Hancock resigned as Health Secretary and walked out on his wife after the video footage emerged.
He wrote a letter of resignation to Boris Johnson where he said the Government ‘owe it to people who have sacrificed so much in this pandemic to be honest when we have let them down’.

It has since come to light that the Health Secretary told his wife, Martha, that he would be leaving her on Thursday night – immediately after discovering that his affair with Gina was about to be laid bare.
Images and video showed Hancock in an embrace with aide Coladangelo last month, and the Health Secretary was facing increasing pressure to quit over the breaking of social-distancing rules.
Hancock added: ‘The last thing I would want is for my private life to distract attention from the single-minded focus that is leading us out of this crisis.
‘I want to reiterate my apology for breaking the guidance, and apologise to my family and loved ones for putting them through this. I also need (to) be with my children at this time.’

The Prime Minister said he was ‘sorry’ to receive Hancock’s resignation as Health Secretary.
He said Hancock ‘should leave office very proud of what you have achieved – not just in tackling the pandemic, but even before Covid-19 struck us’.
Boris Johnson added: ‘I am grateful for your support and believe that your contribution to public service is far from over.’
Coladangelo is also reportedly leaving her position on the board of the Department of Health.
Johnson had refused to sack Hancock, with his spokesman saying the PM considered the matter closed after receiving the West Suffolk MP’s apology on Friday.
However, on Saturday, Conservative MPs began to break ranks to call for Mr Hancock to go.
