NHS App could be your ticket to freedom after July 19 lockdown lifting

You can access the NHS Covid Pass either by logging in to the NHS App or COVID Pass website. Or, alternatively, it can be downloaded as a PDF or sent to your e-mail.

The Premier League has been a big supporter of the Covid certificate scheme, which could be critical to plans to have full capacity stadiums after the new season starts in August.

It’s unclear whether you will need to show your Covid vaccine status for all large scale events in the immediate aftermath of any July 19 unlocking.

However, the entry requirements for Wimbledon 2021 – which is running right now – could give a blueprint for any future upcoming, large scale events in the UK.

The All England Club requires proof of full vaccination, or a negative lateral flow test or a positive PCR test.

As Wimbledon explains online: “For residents of England, you may demonstrate your COVID status – either full vaccination, or a negative lateral flow test, or proof of natural immunity – using the COVID Pass on the NHS App.”
