Novak Djokovic suffered a scary moment in the French Open final against Stefanos Tsitsipas when he took a tumble right by the net and needed a few minutes to recompose himself. Djokovic headed into the final as the strong favourite with the chance to move ever closer to Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal’s Grand Slam tally.
But it was never going to be an easy task against Tsitsipas, who was competing in the first Grand Slam final of his career.
And the world No 5 eased his nerves with some solid service games to begin the match.
Tsitsipas’ one-handed backhand was also causing Djokovic some problems and had his opponent scampering across the court in the seventh game.
The Greek tennis star sent Djokovic deep into the court with the world No 1 returning with a drop shot into the net.
