Phoebe Burgess says she’s with her children ‘every single day’ as they spend lockdown in Bowral… after ex-husband Sam revealed the pain of being separated from their kids
Her ex-husband Sam Burgess candidly revealed on SAS Australia on Tuesday night that he doesn’t get to see their children as much as he likes as they co-parent.
And after his raw confession, where he admitted he had hurt his family with his issues of addiction, Phoebe Burgess penned a poignant post on her Instagram stories.
The journalist turned influencer shared sweet pictures of herself with their kids in Bowral and quipped: ‘This is where I choose to be, every single day. Rain. Hail. Shine.’

The single mother also shared a quote about motherhood on her stories, which read: ‘Motherhood is hard.’
‘Whenever you can, mention that to another mom. Especially a new one. So many women have been conditioned to “suck it up and carry on” no matter how much they’re struggling.’
It finished: ‘Hearing that it’s not easy for anyone may be what that gets them through today.’

On SAS Australia on Tuesday, Sam admitted how his issues with addiction have caused pain for everyone he loves and said how he’s hurt his family.
‘I had a lot of personal issues going on, which turned me to drink and drugs,’ he began.
‘Caused a lot of pain for my mum. She doesn’t deserve that, she’s a great mother, I love her to bits.

‘Caused pain for all my three brothers, who I love more than this world,’ Sam added.
The former NRL star star was also honest in revealing that co-parenting his young children, daughter Poppy, four, and son Billy, two, with ex-wife Phoebe Burgess is difficult.
‘On top of that, my kids, I don’t see as much as I want,’ he confessed to the group.
‘And that’s my biggest pain in my life at the moment, that I let my addictive personality take me the wrong way.’
Sam and ex-wife Phoebe, 32, split in October 2019, after four tumultuous years of marriage.
Sam spent four weeks at Gold Coast Detox after he was caught driving with traces of cocaine in his system while on his way to pick up his children in February.
