‘Suspect it’ll get emotional’: Piers Morgan teases his FINAL episode of Life Stories… as he prepares to interview ‘great friend’ Kate Garraway before she takes over as host

Piers Morgan has teased his friend Kate Garraway’s appearance on Life Stories before she takes over in his role as presenter.

The ex-GMB presenter, 56, took to Instagram to share an image of his coffee and the script for the show, which chronicles the life and times of his former co-star, 54.

He penned: ‘Final prep for my final Life Stories which is being filmed today. Can’t think of anyone I would rather do it with than my great friend @kategarraway. Suspect it will get quite emotional up at Elstree Studios this afternoon’.

His post comes weeks after it was revealed he would step down from hosting Life Stories after 12 years and will be replaced by Kate.

Kate is preparing to replace Piers but before he departs she will sit as the final guest and will delve into her life, starting from youth up to the current day and studying her husband Derek Draper’s coronavirus battle.

Last month, the former Good Morning Britain anchor confirmed the news in a tweet, where he revealed his time fronting over 100 shows had ‘been a blast’.

GMB star and close friend Kate will take over the final three episodes of the series as well as feature in her very own interview in what will be Piers’ very last show.

Announcing the news to his 8million Twitter followers, Piers told how he was quitting the ITV show in order to front his own global daily programme.
