PMQs LIVE: Boris surrounded by worried looking ministers as he prepares major shake up

Boris Johnson is thought to be preparing to shake up his top team after squaring off with Sir Keir Starmer in the Commons. The Labour leader will grill the Prime Minister on a planned cut to Universal Credit and his Covid winter plan.

It will be only the second time he has quizzed Mr Johnson in a full House, having been elected once social distancing measures were already in place in the Chamber.

The Government benches are likely to be incredibly lively today as Conservatives angling for a job in any shake up of Mr Johnson’s top team.

Ministers and backbenchers alike will be keen to prove their support for the leader.

A planned reshuffle directly after PMQs would coincide with the 40th anniversary of a reshuffle by Margaret Thatcher, who sacked three ministers she deemed to be failing in their roles.
