However, the Prince of Wales is not set to be introduced to Prince Harry’s youngest child until next year as the royal couple are likely planning on remaining in the States for the near future, experts predict. While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly planning on bringing baby Lilibet to this side of the pond for a royal christening, a grand introduction may still be a few months off.

Royal expert Nick Bullen has said tensions in the Royal Family have left Prince Charles “incredibly sad”, making him very fond of meeting his youngest grandchild.

Speaking to US Weekly, the royal expert said: “I think Prince Charles really wants to meet his granddaughter.

“Prince Charles is incredibly sad about everything that’s gone on.

“So the family will want to meet each other.

The four day bank holiday will also mark Her Majesty’s 96th birthday.

Harry and Meghan left their roles as working members of the Royal Family and relocated to California last year.

They still live there with their two children – Archie, two, and Lilibet, who they welcomed in June.

A royal expert doubts the royal couple will be returning to the UK “any time soon”.

Speaking on the Royally Us podcast, Christina Garibaldi said: “I don’t think Meghan is really going to be heading over there any time soon, I think they’re going to keep everything pretty private.

“Who knows, they may have even done the christening because we haven’t seen any photos or Meghan at all.”
