Queen has 'secret booze tunnel' under Palace leading to one of London's top bars

The Sun reportedly stated that the remarkable claim was made by Jack Brooksbank, who suggested there is a tunnel beneath one of Her Majesty’s palaces – to allow members of the Royal Family to discreetly travel to a cocktail bar. Mr Brooksbank apparently shared the information with the Daily Mail’s royal editor, Richard Eden at a party sponsored by his drinks brand Casamigos. Mr Eden claimed Brooksbank said: “There is one to Dukes Bar from St James’s Palace.

“I haven’t used it yet, but I’d love to check it out.”

The Dukes Bar is situated in the exclusive Dukes Hotel, in the central London district of Mayfair.

The bar is famous for its “legendary” Martini, described by the New York Times as “one of the world’s best”.

During ITV’s Good Morning Britain, filmed in 2015, presenter Kate Garraway gave viewers a tour of Buckingham Palace.

The presenter told the camera: “This is the White Drawing Room.

    “Looks beautiful, doesn’t it?”

Then the host revealed that a large mirror in one of the rooms hides a secret door so Her Majesty can make a surprise entrance.

She said: “If you pull this open you can see that actually behind this there is a secret passage leading to the Queen’s private apartments.”

The Monarch urged members of the Scottish Parliament to “help create a better, healthier future” by tackling climate change.

The Queen, 95, said: “The beginning of a new session is a time for renewal.

“It is a time for fresh thinking, providing an opportunity to look to the future and out future generations.”
