    However, looking at the room, Royal fans may have overlooked hidden details and ornaments of great significance.

    Showing affection for her beloved grandchildren, several pictures of Her Majesty’s line can be seen on tables between the Queen and the Prime Minister.

    Fans may have spotted Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement photo in a touching nod to the future King of England.

    On the other side of the same table, an image of the Queen sitting with her eldest son, Charles, can be seen.

    In addition, photos of Prince Harry with Meghan Markle, Princess Anne with Sir Timothy Laurence and Zara Tindall with her husband Mike can be seen poking out behind a bouquet of flowers.

    An 18th century painting behind the Queen and Prime Minister is also on display.

    The painting, dated to around circa 1750, depicts a view of the River Thames from Somerset House and was created by an Italian artist, Canaletto, during his time in London.

    It is a recent addition to the room, having replaced a painting which hung in their for years – painted by the same artist – and is believed to be worth more than £2 million.

    Speaking of the meeting, a No10 source said: “Boris was delighted to meet the Queen today, a sense of normality coming back.”

    It is believed to be the first time the Queen has visited the Palace for six weeks.
