The plot “follows a precocious kid who schemes to rid himself of his brutish dad so he can have his mom all to himself. Things go awry when a handsome stranger appears.”
And the ‘Happiness’ director has hailed the film as “fun and sexy”. He told Variety: “This is my first movie with a plot and my first movie taking place in Texas.
“It’s fun and it’s sexy and it’s shaped by the Hollywood movies that made me want to become a filmmaker. I’ve loved Rachel and Colin’s work forever, and am so honoured to be able to excite their passion for serious and unexpected work as well.”
Keeping busy: Weisz was also spotted wearing a gray sweatshirt and holding a coffee mug while filming Dead Ringers, a reimagining of the 1980s cult classic, earlier this week
Weisz isn’t taking any time off while waiting for the Love Child to begin shooting though. The Academy Award winner was spotted earlier this week wearing a gray sweat shirt and holding a coffee mug while filming a new Amazon Prime series, Dead Ringers.
The series is based on the David Cronenberg 1980s cult classic of the same name. In the film, Jeremy Irons played twin gynecologists one of who seduces the women that come into the clinic.
While it’s unclear how this gender-swapped version will differ from the original, Deadline recently reported that Hacks actress Poppy Liu is set to co-star.
