    Rod Stewart, 76, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 50, cut stylish figures as they arrived on the set of The One Show on Tuesday evening.

    The couple held hands as they strode to the studio where they met fellow guest Rosamund Pike.

    Rod took a fashion step forward as he wore an all grey ensemble, opting for a floral coat over a grey turtleneck and pairing it with matching grey trousers and shoes.

    Walking alongside Rod, Penny stood out in a camel coat which she teamed with green leather trousers that showed off her long legs.

    She let her golden locks tumble over her shoulders and toted a pale pink Gucci bag and a shopping bag from Apple.

    On set, the Maggie May crooner posed for photos with Rosamund, who dazzled in an all in white outfit.

    She slipped into a pair of elegant long white trousers and opted for a lacy top to complete her outfit, wearing her hair in its signature sleek bob.

    Rod appeared on the BBC One show to discuss his recently released 31st studio album titled The Tears Of Hercules.

    The music icon has said his latest album was born out of lockdown, noting that it’s ‘the best album he’s made in a long time.’

    He also revealed that one of the songs on the new album, Touchline, was dedicated to his father, who he says taught him and his brothers to love football.

    Taking to his Instagram account he said: ‘Ladies & Gentlemen I bring you The Tears of Hercules. 

    ‘It’s been a wonderful time making this record and I’m so pleased we can finally put it out!’

    He concluded: ‘Make sure you grab a copy through the link in my bio!’

    The crooner also disclosed that two tracks on the album – I Can’t Imagine and Precious Memories – are about his wife Penny, who he has been happily married to since 2006. 

    Rod and Penny share sons Alastair, 15, and Aiden, 10 and Rod has six other children from his previous relationships.

    He shares daughter Renee and son Liam with his second wife Rachel Hunter and children Kimberly and Sean with first wife Alana.

    Rod also has a daughter named Sarah from his relationship with Susannah Boffey in the sixties and shares Ruby with ex Kelly Emberg, who he dated from 1983-1990.
