Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s recent behaviour has seen the Royal Family “coming together and distancing” themselves from the California-based couple. According to a royal expert, the Royal Family have grown “fed up” of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex launching attacks on the monarchy during televised interviews.

Royal expert Nile Gardiner told Fox News, “I think without a doubt the Royal Family are growing increasingly fed up with the behaviour of Meghan and Harry, and also British public opinion is turning firmly against Meghan and Harry as well.”

“You’re seeing the Royal Family really closing ranks here.”

“Without a doubt, I think that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have behaved in a less than exemplary fashion in recent months, launching a series of direct attacks against the monarchy and of course, the Queen is the head of the monarchy.”

“So I think the feeling within the Royal Family is that the behaviour of Meghan and Harry leaves much to be desired.”

He also added that we’re certainly seeing “the Royal Family coming together and distancing” themselves from Harry and Meghan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they would be stepping down as senior royals in January 2020, in a shock move that was dubbed Megxit by the press.

Since then, the couple have relocated to Los Angeles and have signed several multi-million pound deals with Spotify and Netflix, to guarantee their financial independence.

In March, Meghan and Harry conducted a 2-hour bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, which detailed their reasons for leaving the Royal Family.

The interview caused a PR crisis for Buckingham Palace and led Prince William to react with “we are very much not a racist family” at an engagement in London.

Following this interview, Prince Harry has conducted a number of other candid conversations where he has spoken about his experiences within the Royal Family.

During an interview with Dax Shephard he compared life as a royal to being stuck in The Truman Show and being in a zoo.

He also accused the Royal Family of “total neglect” in a second interview with Oprah. His comments are said to have ‘deeply upset’ the Queen.
