Ryan Reynolds talks about his 10th anniversary with Blake Lively as he appears on GMA in NYC

    Ryan Reynolds made an appearance on Good Morning America in New York City to promote his new movie Free Guy.  

    The 44-year-old actor, who wore a gray pinstriped suit and navy blue dress shirt, also talked about celebrating the 10-year anniversary of his first date with wife Blake Lively.

    ‘We’re not quite at 10 years but we rounded up, which we are just going to do because in Hollywood years, that’s like 180 years!’ Ryan said on Wednesday.

     ‘We went to the place that we went on our first date, O Ya, a restaurant which we love,’ he continued. 

    On their anniversary, Reynolds shared an image of the two in front of O Ya, a Boston-based sushi restaurant which Lively said played a pivotal role in their romance.

    ‘If it weren’t for this place. We wouldn’t be together. No joke,’ Blake wrote on her Instagram Story after their anniversary date. ‘No restaurant means more to us.’

    During his appearance on GMA, Ryan also talked about his three daughters three daughters named James, six, Inez, four, and Betty, two, which he shares with Blake, 33.

    When host Michael Strahan asked if the Deadpool star’s kids were more impressed with his fame or by him cooking pancakes, Ryan replied, ‘Oh, I think, pancakes win.’

    He went to say, ‘But today was the first day that they were like, “Wait, you are going to be on TV today?”

    ‘I was like, yeah, I’m going on Good Morning America,’ Reynolds continued. ‘And they were like what’s good about it?’ to the laughter of Strahan, Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos.

    ‘And I was like, well, it’s called Good Morning America. They were like, “Can you say hi to me?” Ryan said. ‘I was like, sure, I’ll say hi to you guys.’

    He continued, ‘But they wanted me to pull my ear to say hello and Nezzie, my younger daughter, she wanted me to like rub my sleeve.’

    The Green Lantern actor then waved to the camera, saying, ‘Hi guys, how are you? Hello!’

    Ryan also discussed his new movie, in which he plays a bank teller named Guy who realizes that he is a non-player character in Free Guy, a violent open world video game that is set to be shut down by its developers.

    After becoming self-aware, he is determined to unite the other background characters and stop the game from going offline.

    Roberts said that the sci-fi action film had been met with rave reviews with some  touting as the best video game movie ever made. 

    Reynolds responded, ‘I wouldn’t characterize it as a video game movie at all. I would just characterize it as big budget summer fun romance smuggled into a video game setting. 

    Directed by Shawn Levy, Free Guy also stars Jodie Comer, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Joe Keery, and Taika Waititi. It will open in theaters on August 13.
