Autumn is the perfect time of year to make some small changes to your home in time for the months ahead. Cooler temperatures, rain and even snow can mean we end up walking a lot more mess and bacteria into our homes. Furthermore, months of summer weather can also mean we have neglected key areas of our home.
Cleaning star Lynsey Crombie has revealed some of the changes you can make to your home ready for winter.
Lynsey, who is also known as the Queen of Clean on Instagram, can often be spotted sharing her cleaning tips on ITV’s This Morning.
She has also authored several books and champions natural and affordable cleaning solutions such as lemon juice, white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
So what changes should you be making to your home in time for autumn? Lynsey exclusive shared her tips with Express.co.uk.

“Just use a makeup brush – an old recycled one – or a paint brush and just go around and do all your bulbs.”
Another key tip from Lynsey included making some changes by your front and back door.
She continued: “Sweeping up out the front, changing your doormats over, getting more heavy duty doormats out to take the mud and the rain that’s going to start to come.
“In the summer, you might want a less intrusive doormat like a thinner one.
In the summer, you can get away with a lighter doormat when it’s dry.
But the winter months require a much more hardy solution.
“I think in the winter, we need to start making sure that we’re not dragging that mud through the house,” Lynsey added.
