Strictly’s Tilly Ramsay enjoys a canned gin and tonic as she leaves the studios accompanied by parents Gordon and Tana – as rumours swirl show bosses are keen for star to make the final

Tilly Ramsay looked in good spirits as she left the Strictly Come Dancing studio on Saturday with a gin and tonic in her hand.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 20, was sitting in the back of her dad Gordon’s car in pink jogging bottoms and a grey hoodie.

Tilly scored 29 for her Quickstep on Saturday’s show, leaving her and her partner Nikita Kuzmin almost at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Tilly carried the beverage while her blonde hair was tied back into a ponytail and she had a smokey eye look which she had left on from her dance.

The CBBC presenter and her dance partner performed the dance to I Won’t Dance by Damita Jo.

They found themselves in the dance off last week, and were keen to pull themselves back this week.

The judges had seen some improvement from last week, but still dished their criticism.

‘I do see improvement in your performance skills. That was a really great start to the evening!’ Motsi Mabuse said of their dance.

The outing comes after Tilly gushed over Nikita in an Instagram post after he presented her with a lavish gift following her 20th birthday.

The influencer held up a pair of white-and-blue Nike trainers, while the choreographer playfully pouted for the camera in the background

Cutting a casual figure, he donned a black padded jacket and accessorised his look with a black beanie hat while resting a matching man bag against his head.

She captioned the snap: ‘@nikita_kuzmin best birthday present thank yoouuuuu,’ followed by two red heart emojis.

This comes as Strictly contestants are convinced the show’s bosses have a hidden agenda to push their favourites into the final, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

According to rumours circulating on the show, BBC chiefs are keen for Tilly Ramsay to make it to the end of the run, because they want to poach her father, celebrity chef Gordon, from ITV.

Some of the stars also claim producers are desperate for Strictly’s first ever all-male couple, John Waite and Johannes Radebe, to go all the way to the final.

It is thought that TV presenter AJ Odudu, who is paired with the show’s new professional dancer, Kai Widdrington, is another favourite with the suits.

Well-placed sources say a number of contestants who are floundering in the series believe the BBC has an ‘agenda’ and would be happiest if Waite and Radebe were the eventual winners.

Strictly bosses were said to be crestfallen last year when the first same-sex couple, Nicola Adams and Katya Jones, had to leave the competition after just four weeks when Jones tested positive for Covid.

One source said: ‘There’s a feeling that there’s some blatant favouritism going on here – that they are pushing Tilly to win, or at least get to the final, because they want to nick her dad.

‘Then you have the issue of the all-male couple, which is just the dream of certain people involved with the show for John and Johannes to pick up the glitterball. And as for AJ, she is adored.’
