Food recalls are issued when a product is unsafe for customers to use. For example, if an item contains an ingredient not mentioned on the label, it could cause harm to someone with allergies. Here is the full list of the current active recalls.

    Co-op

Last week, Co-op released a statement to recall a salmon product.

The supermarket is recalling its Salmon En Croute because it contains undeclared prawns (crustaceans).

Due to a packaging error from the factory, some packs have been labelled incorrectly.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to prawns and/or crustaceans.

    Iceland

Iceland is another supermarket that has recalled a food product in recent days.

The frozen specialists are recalling their Ready to Eat Tikka Chicken Breast Slices because it contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Iceland issued a notice, saying: “As a voluntary precaution we are recalling Iceland Ready to Eat Tikka Chicken Breast Slices 115g as this product may contain undeclared milk allergen and therefore poses a potential risk to those people that have an allergy or intolerance to milk.”

The supermarket added: “If you have bought any of this product – you should not consume it.

“Check if you have bought any of the affected product.

“You can do this by taking a photo of the notice or writing down the details at home.

“Please return to any Iceland store where a full refund will be given.

    “No receipt is required.”
