The Block: Inside Tessa and Luke Struber's dream home in Cairns

The Block 2019 winners Tess and Luke Struber are set to embark on their latest renovation project: building their dream home.

The Cairns-based couple, who recently welcomed their first child, shared a gallery of photos to Instagram on Sunday of what their finished house will look like.

The artist’s impressions show a sleek and modern property characterised by clean lines, a mixture of concrete and timber textures, and greenery throughout.

They told fans their dream was going to become a reality ‘very soon’.

‘We are so excited to get the build started. A few of these building materials will be changing, but this is basically it,’ the Strubers said of their project.

They are building ‘a modern home that stands out’ and is ‘as open as possible’.

The couple are already picturing themselves ‘sitting on the patio taking in the surrounding mountain views’ with their five-month-old daughter Cleo and dog Tilly.

Earlier this month, Tess and Luke offered fans a glimpse of their planned kitchen.

There were plenty stylish elements in the artist’s impression, including a timber feature wall and an island bench. 

The couple explained they’d been working on the design concept for almost a year.

‘We are wanting to create a space that entertains, feels like home, is filled with light and lots of texture and has a minimal feel about it,’ they said.

The Block stars also want a neutral palette that can adapt with their ‘changing style’.

Tess and Luke won Nine’s renovation show in 2019 with their renovation of The Oslo in Melbourne’s St Kilda and pocketed $730,000 at auction.

They welcomed their daughter Cleo in April this year.
